working with Amy has definitely taught me when I'm not where I want to be, how to get where I want to be, and with my overall confidence and trust in myself as an athlete. And I definitely now feel like I show up as the best version of myself, and I understand how to learn from the things that I'm not happy with instead of becoming frustrated with the things that I'm not happy with. She's awesome. Would definitely recommend.
Improved areas:
Self-confidence building
Composure under pressure
Frustration management techniques
Self-trust development
Positive self-talk implementation
"She has helped me a lot throughout the past months with self confidence, composure, frustration management and learning how to trust myself, which is something that I've struggled a lot as a junior athlete playing tennis. It's really hard out there going on court, especially being alone. It took a big toll on me mentally.
And throughout our journey together she's been able to find a pathway to help me and I've seen major improvement again throughout, especially positive self talk and confidence which has affected me a lot."
"As a mom of a teenage athlete, Amy provides support and guidance physically and mentally to ALL with an informative, yet easy going nature that makes you feel like she’s got you. Highly recommend Amy!!"
“"After working with Dr. Thompson for a few months, I have already seen a great improvement in my mental game. As a track and field javelin thrower, I have faced many challenges in my first year at the collegiate level. Dr. Thompson's coaching has helped me realize the importance of having a learning mindset. There are no failures, but only things to learn from that will one day help me win. One thing Dr. Thompson always reminded me of was to be grateful everyday. This helped me to approach each practice, lift, and competition in a way that released the high pressure and expectations I put on myself. Being consistent with mental preparation has set me up to continue to grow and have the extra edge against my competitors. Most importantly, Dr. Thompson's advice has allowed me to grow in all areas of my life, not just athletics."

"Mrs. Amy helped me see a different perspective outside of getting in my head during games. She provided several different techniques to overcome anxiety and build confidence."
"Thank you for taking your time to help and teach us about the mental game within sports. It really helped me to be more aware of my mindset and overall emotion during practice, games, and even just throughout the day. I have learned many different skills like setting process goals and building confidence. As well as being able to not just be aware of it all, but actually implement it into my life. Overall you have really helped me grow as an athlete, thank you!"
"I wanted to say how Amy not only impacted me, but all the other sophmores with their mentality, and finding out different ways of seeing things. It helped me stay positive even when it’s hard to, and that everything is doable if you have a good mindset."
"Thank you so so much for taking the time to coach us! I have learned so much about how to keep a positive and growth mindset. Your lessons encouraged me to not be timid but to have confidence even if I’m not performing at my best. You have really helped me realize when I'm getting in my head and how to get back focused. I learned how to not worry so much and focus on controlling what I can control and not overthinking! Words and tone have a lot of power, so I am a lot more mindful because of you. You have taught me how to put all my effort into even the little things because it not only benefits me but the whole team! Thank you for making me into a better team player both on and off the court. Thank you again for everything! "
